I found an interesting project today.

It is handmade knitted nest project for stray baby bird.

Firstly I found it on Japanese web site and then I read the original post in English.

(I dont link. please search by yourself. the title:Thousands flood Charlotte rescue group with knitted nests, handwritten notes for baby birds)

There is a specific way to knit that nest by both needle or crochet, and the knitting diagram looks easy for me. Also I have plenty of leftover yarn from my vests or socks and hairbands etc. So I made up my mind to join the project and immediately started to knit the nest.

But during my knitting time, another thought came up to my mind.

Do I the right thing?
Is it good for nature to provide the knitted nests for baby birds and to save them?
Don't we ruin the balance of nature ?
It is sure that death of baby birds make us sad, but isn't it the rule of nature?

I am confused.
Originally I feel like that too much animal protection seems hypocritical.

Anyway I have only started to knit the nest.
I will think about this a little more deeply when I finished the first nest.
